Sometimes it's worthwhile to rediscover some special places visited in the past, or discover new places that have until now remained undiscovered. One such place is where the enchanting Noosa River meets the magnificent Pacific Ocean, hidden down a windy road beyond the hustle and bustle of famous Hastings Street Noosa Heads. Take a drive down Hastings Street and soak up the atmosphere, then do yourself a favour and continue down windy Claude Batten Drive right to the end. This wonderful point is well hidden and well worth a visit, for those who enjoy riverside and beach walks, a dip in sheltered waters, or a spot of river fishing. A tip to those wanting to stay and play at this wonderful spot is to get in early, as the main carpark at the mouth of the river fills up faster than department store on Boxing Day.
